4th Friday Prescott Art Walk
Mark Troksa – “Color and Movement”
Friday, July 23 through August 25
Arts Prescott Cooperative Gallery is excited to present the rich and vibrant abstract paintings by our guest artist Mark Troksa!
Artist’s Statement:
As an artist, the challenge and excitement is to come up with a new concept and color palette and watch it come to life. When the piece is matted and framed, I get to see its full potential. My name is Mark Troksa and I love Alcohol Ink as the colors are bright and vibrant and remind me off a cross between the Aurora Borealis and stained glass. When sun light hits them, the colors just explode. No two paintings are the same as the ink reacts differently every time creating interesting movement and a 3-D effect.
Artist’s Bio:
I recently moved to Arizona from the Midwest. My art is always evolving with the encouragement of my wife, Sky. She is my biggest fan and harshest critic. I showed my work in galleries in the Midwest before moving. More recently, I was a Featured Artist at the Sedona Arts and also won for “Best Body of Work” at an earlier show there. I also showed my work at the Muse Gallery in Cottonwood, AZ.
