Arts Prescott Cooperative Gallery is excited to present the acrylic paintings of our guest artist Kate McGovern!
Artist Statement:
I’m happy to join other Creatives in the Arts Prescott Show Opening Friday, October 23.
I will be displaying acrylic paintings mostly taken from images of nature. My heart comes alive in color, especially the mesmerizing process of mixing colors.
I hope that when you see my paintings something of my inner energy of being with the painting experience comes through. Perhaps you can relate to that experience. For me, it is using tools to express, giving way to discovery, and living with the result as a reflection of my time spent in creativity.
What’s more, my husband says I’m easier to live with when I’m painting!

Meet the artist on Friday, October 23 with an Art Walk reception for Kate on Prescott’s 4th Friday Art walk from 5 to 8pm.
Refreshments will be served (Covid-19 approved!). Live music provided by the talented flutist Larry Hansen.
The show runs from October 23 through November 24.
The gallery is open daily from 10am – 5pm. Hand sanitizer available / FACE MASKS are required at this time for the safety of our artists and community while we follow recommended guidelines.
