Arts Prescott Cooperative Gallery is excited to host the beautiful paintings of our next featured guest artist Judy Wegenast!
Artist Statement:
I would describe my style as impressionistic realism. I try for a life-like image that transforms as a viewer approaches it, surprising them as they see what first appeared “real” is “just paint or pastel,” in an arrangement of abstract components: shapes, colors and values. I believe that “interesting is better than exact,” and strive to engage the viewer with expressive strokes, fostering an experience with the piece, rather than reporting exactly what is seen.
Meet the Artist on Friday, June 23 with an Art Walk reception for Judy on Prescott’s 4th Friday Art walk from 5 to 8pm. Refreshments will be provided with live music presented by “Raven with Lucy Hill” !
The show runs from June 23 through July 26.
The gallery is open daily from 10am – 6pm.
