4th Friday Prescott Art Walk
Milt Parsons – Leather Craftsman
Friday, April 28 through May 24
Arts Prescott Cooperative Gallery is excited to host the handcrafted leather goods of our next featured guest artist Milt Parsons!
Watchdog Leather Goods was created in 2020 when Milt, a retired custom home builder, auto-racing enthusiast and avid watch collector, decided to try his hand at leather crafting to make his own watch straps. He soon ventured into making wallets, totes, belts and even a few guitar straps! It wasn’t long before family and friends began requesting his creations.
After a few nudges from his children, grandchildren and Mrs. Watchdog (aka his wife, Sharon), he offered some pieces for purchase to the public. Everything sold out immediately and Watchdog Leather Goods as a business was born.
All of Milt’s creations are crafted, cut and stitched entirely by hand using only full and top grain leather. His style leans toward minimalism but his passion for the craft moves him into new areas of design. As no two items are alike, you can be sure that you will have a unique, quality piece that will last for years to come.
Meet the Artist on Friday, April 28 with an Art Walk reception for Milt on Prescott’s 4th Friday Art walk from 5 to 8pm.
Refreshments will be provided, with live music presented by Alejandro on guitar and vocals!
The show runs from April 28 through May 24.
The gallery is open daily from 10am – 6pm.
