4th Friday Prescott Art Walk
Sandy Combs – “Painting the Southwest”
Friday, February 25 through March 23
Arts Prescott Cooperative Gallery is excited to present the beautiful oil and watercolor paintings by our guest artist Sandy Combs!
About Sandy Combs:
Sandy Combs is a representational oil and watercolor painter. Raised at the coast of California gave her the opportunity to take in the sea and rolling hills where the deer and cattle roamed, and she could ride her horses.
Sandy’s college education included drawing and painting with a minor in Animal Husbandry. Passionate about art and history, her initial observations of color, composition, and brush strokes, by the great masters, were at museums and galleries nearby. Her artistic influences initially were the Hudson River School painters. More recently are the artists of the west and their interpretations.
The next few years were spent living in the Tahoe National Forest on 114 acres boarding horses and raising kids. Being the outdoorsman that she was, Sandy packed up and moved to a small town Wyoming and loved the hunting, fishing, and ranching along the Wind River.
In 1987, Sandy and her family moved to Prescott, Arizona which proved to be an artist’s dream with so much inspiration and a tremendous amount of talent willing to share their knowledge and techniques.
Sandy’s goal is to convey God’s visible creation and natural beauty through her artistic interpretations.
Meet the artist on Friday, February 25th with an Art Walk reception for Sandy on Prescott’s 4th Friday Art walk from 5 to 8pm.
Refreshments will be served. Live music presented by flutist Larry Hansen.
The show runs from February 25 through March 23.
The gallery is open daily from 10am – 6pm. Hand sanitizer available & face covering are recommended, but not required.
