Arts Prescott Cooperative Gallery is excited to host our next featured guest artist Sue Griffin!
Artist Statement:
I have been fortunate enough to have exhibitions and galleries exhibit my work over the past years in both Mexico and the USA. I hope the people of Prescott enjoy my work as well.
Moving to Arizona in late 2022 , I am already inspired by my new surroundings and am looking forward to what new creative works will transpire.
Each piece of my work is hand built using slab and coil techniques. Colors are added by using underglazes and glazes and then they are low fired. Each piece is fired one or two times depending on the look I want to achieve.
Much of my work is whimsical or organic in nature. My crow series hopefully invokes a feeling of fun and honors the clever and intelligent characteristics of a crow. Cactus are appreciated as sculptural inspirations and my stylized forms are suited for all styles of decor.
Meet the Artist on Friday, July 28 with an Art Walk reception for Sue on Prescott’s 4th Friday Art walk from 5 to 8pm. Refreshments will be provided with live music!
The show runs from July 28 through August 23.
The gallery is open daily from 10am – 6pm.
