Karen Livingston, a native Nevadan, moved to Sedona, AZ when she was 10 years old and attended high school in Jerome, AZ. She has bounced back and forth living in Arizona and Nevada ever since, and she presently maintains residences in both Jerome, AZ and Las Vegas, NV.
Karen received a BS from Arizona State University and a MS in counseling from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has a varied career background ranging from Financial Advisor, Bank trust officer, school counselor and metalsmith. After retiring from school counseling 12 years ago Karen took her first metalsmithing class at Yavapai College. That is when she knew she had finally found her passion.
Over the years Karen has taken numerous workshops from master jewelry artists in order to develop new techniques and to hone her skills. The inspiration for Karen’s art jewelry comes not only from the natural beauty of Arizona but also from the beauty she encountered while traveling the world. She now works to create art jewelry that pays tribute to the natural beauty of Arizona and to the many countries she has visited.
